Teddy Roosevelt, 1910. He may be know for being shot and then giving speech whilst being wounded, but he was also a cowboy, a police commissioner in New York, invented the forward pass in American football, climbed a mountain while on his honeymoon and had a tattoo of his family’s crest on his chest

Why is it important to know that he climbed a mountain on his honeymoon
Where are his descendants and what do they do today? That’s a documentary I need
Gabe Newell is clearly on the up.
One other little known fact I’ll add: he was also President of the United States.
Repost. btw-he did not create the forward pass.
and he is probably the one who devised the pretext used to declare war on Spain and steal Cuba and the Philippines from it
He also created the National Parks Service so future generations could enjoy the great outdoors as much as he did himself.
The new Ben Franklin
And he was a Bull Moose!
but thats gabe newel
…and was a homicidal maniac whose reckless actions lead to unnecessary death and misery
Can’t repeat this enough even though others have said it in this thread: Teddy Roosevelt did NOT invent the forward pass.
He was also sickly as a child iirc. He proved you can overcome and be a true chad
Had he lived he was the favorite to win back the Presidency in 1920 as well
A millionaire’s son, he could have sat back and enjoyed a lifetime of luxury; instead he enjoyed a lifetime of public service and his face is carved on Mount Rushmore.
Tr is the great character in American history
One of the earliest practitioners of jiu jitsu in the USA.
his wife and his mother died on the same day. his wife had given birth to their daughter two days prior
so sad
Spanish American war hero charged up San Juan hill with his rough riders, has to be at least honorable mention…
He doubled the number of National Parks.
He did not have a tattoo on his chest.
And as we know….Biden caught that historic first forward pass!
He also hit two homers in a World Series game against babe Ruth !
The last certified bad ass president. Great writer too.
Among other amazing accomplishments. He was a renaissance man, in many ways.
He found out about President McKinley’s either death or the assassination attempt on the POTUS while riding on NYS’s Adirondack Railway. He was the VP. He also said that Maxwell House’s coffee was “good to the last drop,” something the coffee maker still advertises on their coffee products.
“WHAT’S UP, BITCHEEEES?!”
-Teddy Roosevelt, ERB
He did not have a tattoo of his family crest. That’s a myth. What he had were accidental gunpowder tattoos from a childhood accident.
What a true public servant looks like. Dude created the NPS and will bey favorite president on that fact alone
They don’t make men like that anymore hahaha
teddy is pretty cool, but the tattoo thing has been proven false.
Although he is claimed by the Republicans, that party at the time from Lincoln on tended to be Progressive rather than conservative.
Even more impressive, as police commissioner for NYC, he was the antithesis of corrupt and did a lot to clean up the police force as much as it could have been at the time. He wasn’t afraid of firing people who had “protection”.
Ive read one of his better biographic books, this dude was a brilliant polymath with unlimited energy…. truly an exceptional and incredible human being. It blew me away how low the bar for presidency is currently after reading about his life. He was one of the, once every 200 years guys. We really don’t appreciate him enough.
Uuhhh, I think most people know him as President of the United States, a staunch conservationist who was the first POTUS to sign in National Monuments (Devils Tower being the first), and a bit of a warmonger. He was also the GOVERNOR of New York

Don’t forget that he occasionally swam naked in the Potomac River.
It was actually George Santos who created the forward pass in American football.
he did not have a chest tattoo. thats an internet myth. he had gunpowder tattoos from a gun incident at 13. thats it
he also didnt invent the forward pass, he helped make it a legal move. he did not invent it.
“Climbed a mountain while on his honeymoon” is a weird way of just saying he enjoyed hiking lmao
Best President in American history in my opinion
He also smacked the shit out of man who where rude in public or treated woman wrong.
He was the first US President to invite an African American man to dine at a White House dinner. Teddy and First Lady Edith shared a meal with Booker T. Washington in 1901 which caused a great deal of national turmoil and derision in both press and party.
My favorite “role” of Teddy’s was as the father of Alice. She had all her father’s rebellious energy and none of her mother’s (or step-mother’s) reserved manners. Teddy was quoted as saying, “I can either run the country or I can attend to Alice, but I cannot possibly do both.” He said this, of course, in the Oval Office, after just threatening to throw his daughter out a window for her disruptive behavior.
He was the first American to earn a brown belt in Judo. He’d the President we need these days!
A guy named Bradbury Robinson is credited with inventing the forward pass. So.
Someone who knew him said that “Death had to come for Teddy in his sleep, otherwise there’d have been a fight “
