Did someone forget his handbrake or how is this even possible?
They immediately made it their pool even tho there is the same water around the truck. I love it.
Aflac has you covered.
It’s not just a car… it’s an Amphibious Exploring Vehicle
You have backed up way too far
Duck on a truck
Fucks with ducks
Can’t get it back now.
Ducks claimed it.
That’s not a parking spot, you can’t park there.
Look kids – a spa!
Good job with the caption.
This post made me realize that in our absence nature really will just keep marching on. Roads will become unkempt. Buildings will collapse and flood. The wildlife will come back to reclaim all the land taken from them. For a while they might find neat uses for what we left behind, like this duck and her ducklings, but ultimately nature marches on. Uncaring and unflinching.
is this the new ducktales
That was sooo nice of the man to back his truck into the water so the mama duck had a swimming pool for her babies.
Just putting the kids to bed
So is that trucks totaled now?
Driving skills 0 (the guy, not the duck…..unless it was the duck driving the truck)
Oof that’s a f150 platinum too rip wallet
Glad to see they are in their own safety pool.
FYI – this is what the parking brake is for.
The “transmission park” isn’t very strong – like at all. It will basically just keep the vehicle from rolling back on most common grades. In most transmissions it’s basically a single gear tooth that catches on a driveline part. It’s not designed to hold the weight of a truck + boat + trailer + inertial loads (wave action) on a boat ramp.
If you live in a place like San Fran with really steep hills, it is required to use the parking brake when leaving the car when parked on an incline – because the transmission park may fail. (also curb blocking a tire and turning the wheel to lock)
The parking brake engages (typically) the rear brake rotor / drum via a mechanical cable and is MUCH stronger. Sometimes with a separate set of pads, sometimes with the caliper. Mechanical is simple and normally works very reliably. They aren’t normally negatively impacted by immersion and are separate from the hydraulic system if that fails.
Newer vehicles may have a electrically solenoid engaged parking brake on the main rear caliper. Particularly if the vehicle has an active cruise control where a computer needs to slow the car.
So, funny. But learn from the mistakes of others.
Boats have a way of amplifying the consequences of tiny brain farts.
Kids getting swimming lessons
Are the taillights still on?
What the duck
Someone ducked up…
That’s what I call tail gating
well, fuck. there’s a duck on a truck that’s stuck.
