It was a great game, I loved the ending.
I loved this game for few reasons . How it deals with question of one self and identity
The moral choices that are both hidden and existing.
The visual destruction and warped areas
The monsters were sacry to see.. untill they weren’t sadly. And as for story? It’s not of a mix. But I say the ending is both bittersweet and yet logical for game story.
its an interesting premise and the story but its gameplay is exponentially worse than isolation, soma is more of a short story than a nice meaty horror experience.
I think I read this game works well on Steam Deck. It’s been in my backlog forever, I should give it a shot
I was excited for it, but had to force myself to finish it. I’ll never understand the appeal.
(I’ve been gaming for 30+ years, beat up to 75 a year and like a wide variety. I love horror games and don’t mind things that are slow. Reading is also my favourite hobby.)
I really like the game ! But I’m always baffled by the stupidity of the main character.
It is explained to him multiple times how *the thing* works, but at the end, when *the thing* happens to him, he gets all mad.
You start the game thinking it’ll be an average survival horror and end it lying awake having an existential crisis.
