This is the stupidest shit I’ve ever seen.
You would think the people building a massive aircraft would be able to do napkin math, they showed a infographic of 3 modes of transport and claimed a plane flying for 50 minutes at 550mph (cruising speed of jetliners going over water) is only a 3x faster than a ass-shaped blimp going 80mph (which in reality is going to be how fast its going with a 70mph tailwind because air resistance is a thing).
This is so stupid I don’t know why I didn’t just instantly shut it off, in my mind I knew this was moronic but something in the back my brain said, what if i’m missing something here and helium balloons could be the next mode of transportation. But of course it won’t be the next mode of transportation because it’s a shit idea, what are you gonna do when there’s a slight breeze? what if it rains? what about lightning? at some point the air will become too thin for it to produce enough lift, how is it going to go over turbulent clouds?
