BloodDome99 is a top-down shooter inspired by 80s arcade games. We made this game in ~9 days for Juice Jam II, where the goal is to make the ‘juiciest’ game you can. The theme was “Paying the Price” so in BD99 your goal is to fight in a retrofuturistic gladiator arena and earn $100,000 to buy your freedom. You can buy upgrades which you’ll need to survive and earn money but doing so also moves you further away from your ultimate goal. It’s free to download and I’d love to hear any feedback ya’ll have!

Edit: If you give it a try and like it, it’d be hella rad if you rated it for the jam: https://itch.io/jam/gdb-juice-jam-ii/rate/1908792
LOVE the lighting effects. Looks super fun, nice job!!
Gives a wee bit of Robotron 2084 vibe.
