Yes, English is so complicated here – you need to get billberries if you want them to be blue from inside. In my local language billberries are called blue berries and blueberries are called berries from the forest 🙂
They are not called “blueberries” because what color they are on the inside. Resume your next 36 years as originally planned.
Technically they’re not even blue on the outside
