No joke, it’s like $20+ for burger, fries, and a drink now.
This was 10 years ago. I hope they raised their prices if they want to be profitable.
I used to go to Five Guys occasionally back then and I recall that their burgers were kinda pricey even back then. The single hamburger was probably the only thing they had under $6
It was never under $6 in 2013; well at least in Florida it wasn’t
10 years later that burger would be more than $6 regardless
Last time I ordered from them, my burger alone was like 13 dollars
Five Guys is good, but the prices are just beyond ridiculous.
I can handle my grill just fine. For my family of four, its honestly cheaper to buy meat and buns – along with each person’s desired toppings – from the Kroger and just grill it myself. I get that there’s something to be said for the time saved on shopping and prep, but that’s just not the case anymore. It would cost me nearly $50 to buy burgers and fries for everyone. If I have two hours to spare, I can get meat, buns, onions, mushrooms, lettuce, bacon and other condiments to make four burgers for about $30. Hell, I’ll pick up a large order of fries – which are legitimately good as all hell – from the place and we will pretty much break even.
Come on savannah. You couldn’t make a better local burger than a greasy chain restaurant?

My Five Guys rant.
They have a specifically sized scoop thing that they use to measure fries and dump them into the bag. The actual container for a regular sized fries is a dinky ass cup.
When you get Five Guys and find all of your fries in the bag they aren’t giving you extra fries or some great deal. They’re doing that instead of putting them into a normal sized container to make you think they’re giving you extra. It’s a trick and it works on people.
They’re still charging twice what any other fast food place charges for the same amount of fries. And their’s are only slightly better than some other chains and not as good as McD’s fries.
Burgers were very good, but I stopped going there when a burger, fries and a drink for a family of 4 was over $50, and that was quite a few years ago. Closest 5 Guys to me closed in 2021.
I love five guys, but its incredibly expensive.
Five guys is now fast food quality for sit down restaurant prices. If i’m going to pay $20+ for a burger I can go to a burger bar and get a better quality burger with better fries and service for the same price.
I used to love 5 guys until they jacked their prices to “wtf are you talking about?” levels. Find a Fuddrucker’s and buy a game off Steam instead.
George Foreman grill, patty maker and ground chuck. I’ve stopped going to five guys way to pricey now.
I just paid $19.something for a burger and fries there, didn’t even get a drink since I already had water 🙃
That’s greed not inflation
A burger, fries and a drink was like $18 there in 2019, has literally nothing to do with inflation.

It’s probably less about inflation and more about profit.
I just had a 5 guys burger for 12 bucks and fries for 6 and left hungry. Guess what folks, it is time to stop eating out till things get better with the economy.
The only time I ever go to Five Guys is when I’m invited on someone else’s dime. Not because I’m cheap, but because they’re not close to worth the money. Even free, it’s not exactly overwhelming. It’s pretty good, but nothing special.
That place is an absolute rip off now.

I worked at 5 guys and got a discount. I still couldn’t afford to eat there.
They should change their name to five guys who take your monies.
