I think you’ll find this is Arkansas, 2023.
God working in old textile Mills must have been just as bad as working in coal mines for your lungs
Conservatives love this one trick.
It’s a GOP utopia.
Yea, now they just outsource it to countries without child labour laws.
A happy child is an employed child!
The answer to this will be that these are poor kids whose families are in serious need. Or have single moms. These kids are able to contribute to help get their parents out of a bad situation or to avoid being homeless. Don’t worry folks. This won’t affect middle class families.
Wouldn’t have to relax child labor laws to replace the dead and unwilling if we didn’t take 3+ years fighting about where the fckn virus came from.
Y’all don’t want to know where monkey bars come from
Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the great state of Arkansas continuing the Republican tradition of ‘protecting the children’ by getting rid of those pesky child labor laws they instituted 100 years ago.
Yay.
So much personality in those faces
Looks like they had a good crew, all things considered!
Don’t look like they’re workin to me! Get back in the factory!
And they still would be too if it wasn’t for you meddling kids…
Coming to an Arkansas near you.
It’s happening in Arkansas
Why do they look so darn happy?
Looks like modern day Arkansas
“Make America Great Again”
Is this what the GOP was referring to in make America great again?
I wish I could go to work barefoot.
Coming soon to Arkansas!
is this propaganda in favor of child labor?
Governor Huckabee would be so proud of them.
Indeed, she continues to work diligently to once again get (them) their working opportunities back.
So much freedom
Paddy’s pub?
Huh. I’m surprised. They look like kids having fun, almost like a school picture.
But how dirty their clothes are and how bare their feet are.
Everyone knows that the kids who will be forced into labor will be the poor kids and immigrant kids who the parents need to help put food on the table. The people of Arkansas should be ashamed.
Somewhere there is a kid working on that product you got delivered from Amazon. We just don’t have to see it in our country so that makes it ok. Out of sight, out of mind.
If you do a good job kid, in 6 months you’ll be able to afford shoes.
Good old days before wokeness
Some sturdy looking Americans. Great photo, image wise. Been zooming and snipping all day. Love me some good looking dead people.
I mean the detail in photos still creeps me out. Photos on film in general creep me out. I used to take and develop a lot and never have mine taken. Think about light. On film. The intricacy of that exchange to create a photograph. Just the fact that the light of an image can be captured through a lens. It’s like every person is infinitely “zooming” light at everything around them. I mean they are. Such is the atomic scale of things but it’s wild to try and see it with your minds eye.
Sarah would be so proud of those hard working children.
The GOP can’t wait to update this image for their website. They do want us to live like its 1900.
The age of entitlement and prosperity will soon be over
