Reminds me a little of the Red Faction Armageddon black hole gun
Although as fun as that looked, it ultimately proved more fun to just force the side of a building to slam into a monster. So I’m hoping that I can do some evil things with this black hole gun

I think it’ll be visually cooler ( and realistic ) if the black hole pulls in all the material rather than just a outward explosion. But I also know your an indie dev and probably can’t do that
I think the explosion is a bit to much outward? Instead of implosion
the black hole effect is cool but since you’re just removing one square and having to wait each time, it doesn’t seem that fun.
Maybe if the black hole chunked smaller slices of the overall cube but did it faster. This might make it feel more like the black hole is sucking in rocks instead of chunking them.

Just watched the announcement trailer… please don’t make that taking cube super annoying… or at least configurable annoying 🙂
What if you added a bit of pull if the player got to close? Like right before it explodes, have it tug the player closer, just to add a little bit of fear to make the fact that it’s a black hole a bit more intense. It’s just an idea, totally up to you tho.
