Almost grasping the cricket rules, but what is a century and why is this so special?
Sorry Harris
One day we’ll have a cricket post on r/sports where 90% of the comments aren’t just explaining the rules of cricket.
Today is not that day.
Just for some added context of how impressive it is for a batter to score a hundred in each innings of a Test match, this is the 2446th Test match in history, but it is only the 87th time a player has scored a hundred in both innings of a match.
Scoring a hundred is impressive in itself, but it is the expectation for an international batter to score hundreds. But to hit two in one match is something that even plenty of the cricket greats have never done.
