Great run by Kelce but it wasn’t his YAC ability that got him the touchdown here, as Aikman accurately pointed out while trying not to laugh mins later the Chargers defense took comedically bad angles so he didn’t even have to break a tackle since none of them played defense properly to be in position to touch him
Hilarious how Staley’s decision to leave all those field goals on the table going for it on 4th down so many times and failing directly resulted in his team losing, as bookies always say you always take the points

What a great game. I really enjoyed watching it. That said, I HATE the NFL’s overtime. The college format is 100 times better.

As nice as his play was… the Chiefs didn’t win that game. The Chargers lost it. They visited the the redzone or field goal range (-50 yards) 7 times with zero to show for it. The aversion to kicking field goals destroyed their win percentage chance. Then in the final offensive drive they had it deep in chiefs territory with 2+ mins left. The smart play would have been to start burning clock, forcing the chiefs to burn time outs and then kick a field goal with less then 30 seconds to play.
Instead they kept going for the td, and going for it on 4th down within field goal range.
IT was bad clock management, and failure to put points on the board that killed them. If they had even gotten 50% of those 4th downs and kicked a field goal, they win 40 – 34.
(ps- Herbert is a really good QB, and they have a real future behind him. He’s not as flashy as Mahomes, but he’s just as composed, and with really good accuracy.
