Scott was getting a standing ovation from the crowd the moment he stepped onto the field, being a hometown boy on debut. The craziest thing is that he gave them something to cheer for and then some. You wouldn’t bother making up something this unrealistic.
So as someone (American too) who has not followed cricket long at all. Does this English roster have a lot of the same talent as the team that won the ODI world cup? That was the first tournament I watched, and after discovering that and T20 leagues, Test cricket and the Ashes still confuse me a bit.
As with every cricket thread there is a bunch of people going “cricket is dumb, I don’t understand it, and I don’t feel I need to because it’s dumb”. Why do you comment then?

There may have never been a worse English team to tour Australia
One of the best individual bowling performances of all time in his debut, ridiculous
Truly embarrassing performance by the Poms. Just forfeit the last 2, go home and ask the Queen if she needs anything done.
In 4 overs as well lol, why can’t the English be competitive
The most insane part of this — he probably won’t be in the XI for the next Test!
What a joke
Literally hysterical performance by the Br*tish
England turned into ashes this series
I took sony liv subscription for this. F me.
Boland today was like my economics professor, handing out ducks just for fun 🙂

I understand that those are technically all real words in the title, but I don’t know what any of them mean.
England are shite
Pathetic, well played Australia
Utter humiliation for England. Brilliant from Australia. I can’t see this being resolved in 2 years.
Straight to the point user name OP. Quality stuff
I feel like I havnt seen anything that good for awhile, very exciting stuff. What a legend!!
Wtf did you just say to me?!
Took my son to the G today for an amazing hour of cricket. Bummed that it was all over before lunch, but pumped for Boland. Crowd was awesome.
“Build the man a statue!” Is a great bit of commentary

I have never read a title like that in my life
I love how Cricket looks, but no matter how often people explaing the scoring system to me, my brain can not compute it.
As with every cricket thread there is a bunch of people going “cricket is dumb, I don’t understand it, and I don’t feel I need to because it’s dumb”. Why do you comment then?
I’m here to try and decipher Australian anger and slang like a Bogan. You all are very interesting to me.
