Digging this a lot! Thanks for posting
Yes! I love this kind of drony hypnotic music.
I wrote this as a reply to someone in another subreddit and figured it should be here too:
I discovered them a couple years ago but didn’t do much exploring beyond that. Just recently remembered them and listened to two albums.
[Ain’t That Mayhem?](https://zerolyon.bandcamp.com/album/aint-that-mayhem) is the one this song is from and [Joke Box](https://zerolyon.bandcamp.com/album/joke-box) has another one I like called [Luna Park](https://zerolyon.bandcamp.com/track/luna-park). There are more on their [Bandcamp](https://zerolyon.bandcamp.com/music).
[Zëro](https://icidailleurs.fr/en/artist/zero-en-2/) is an offshoot of the 90’s French band [Bästard](https://bastard.bandcamp.com) which made a cool album called [Radiant, Discharged, Crossed-Off](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDZtThPngzk). Check out the songs [King Kong](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-47qdE5GjpI) and [Travelgum](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3h0LaczZdK8), they’re way ahead of their time.
Bästard was recommended to me since I liked the album [Ege Bamyasi](https://canofficial.bandcamp.com/album/ege-bamyasi) by [Can](https://canofficial.bandcamp.com/music). Can is generally less “pretty” since it’s 1970s-era experimental/krautrock, but [Vitamin C](https://canofficial.bandcamp.com/track/vitamin-c) is a pretty good song to start with if you want to give them a go.
[Tied & Tickled Trio](https://tiedtickledtrio.bandcamp.com/music) is a German band started by a couple of the guys in [13 & God](https://13andgod.bandcamp.com/album/s-t) (see: [Soft Atlas](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THTLAAz8lsY)) that made a few super amazing songs by layering jazzy wind instruments over dub beats (see: [The Long Tomorrow](https://tiedtickledtrio.bandcamp.com/track/the-long-tomorrow), [Freakmachine](https://tiedtickledtrio.bandcamp.com/track/freakmachine), [3.4.e](https://tiedtickledtrio.bandcamp.com/track/34-e) and [Like Armstrong + Laika](https://tiedtickledtrio.bandcamp.com/track/like-armstrong-laika))
Do Make Say Think you might already know because some of them also are in Godspeed You Black Emperor but just in case you don’t give [& Yet & Yet](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAbNarBqrBs) a whirl.
None of them have anything to do with the others afaik other than being possibly hopefully somewhat musically comparable.
Hope that gives you an idea what I hear in it.
Edit: clarity.
