Kids don’t know bad games. You get your two games a year and you play them. I loved Fester’s Quest.
Blurb from the back of the box:
*Greendog is one unlucky surfer. He lost his board and got stuck with a cursed necklace. Greendog has to fight his way past a lot of crazed creatures and monsters to find the Aztec treasure or he’ll never get rid of the curse!*
Still hard to believe SEGA was so thoroughly destroyed by Sony/Nintendo and relegated to just being a developer.
Yeah but back in those times you bought games based on the cover art and the description on the back.
And then you took it home and enjoyed every bit of it.
AVGN did an episode on this, very odd origin story and conception
Did you ever try “shaq fu”??? Jump kicks are nearly impossible to land
I had this game too and I actually enjoyed it at the time. I keep thinking I shoukd fire it up in an emulator, but I don’t want to ruin the memories.
I did try Cool Spot in an emu and it’s still fun, for being a blatant product placement lol
I honestly loved this game, but that probably has more to do with memories of me and my sister hanging out one summer playing it, and the whole vibe just encapsulates early 90s childhood summers for me.
Weird game though.
Bruh, that was my first cartridge. But what’s so bad about it? For me it was just a platformer with skatembord, difficult enough to hold me for months on the last level. I really enjoyed it back then.
