Tekken 8 is set to release in January 2024! Have always loved the series and wanted to show some love to the series’ roots. Tekken 1 PS1 long box and Tekken 2 and 3 from my collection!

Never played Tekken. Not a fan of the Japanese style games.
Sure, I love Tekken 7 and I can’t wait to see what the next game will have to offer!

Me \w/ Iv’e played all the Tekken since the 3 on PS1. I was doing tournament back in 2010 with all my friend at my place. I think maybe We will be reunited again for this one ! So hype for this game !
I like fighting games like Street Figther or KOF but I never liked Tekken and its characters with 80+ moves lol
I played the beta it was good but they need to address the performance issues I hope they get fixed.

Tekken 7 was enjoyable but I haven’t really loved a Tekken game since 5.
I will never be good at fighting games. People who can even play fighting games properly like using combos and character specials must have the brain of the flash.
for the batshit insane storyline that is the Mishima Familiy alone. Yes.

Tekken 3 forever goat
Seeing the tekken 3 box, reminds me of my mum who broke the disc in half. Because religion, angry faces and fighting ofc.
Tekken 3 and tag tournament was boss.
I honestly haven’t played Tekken since those games were new lol. 2 and 3 were fantastic though
My favorite is tekken 4,
I loved 1 and 2! Those were the days. King and Paul were my favourite picks. Oh, and Yoshimitsu!
My fav are 4, 5, TTT2. Sadly I think the game has changed. The focus on aggression, the constant repetitive cutscenes and also the music is more like noise to me now than in the older games.
Tekken 5 is my favorite fighting game of all times, but in terms of music, atmosphere, characters and nostalgia Tekken 2 is my favorite (that sounds contradictory, but it isn’t, really 😂)
I miss the old Tekkens personally. 3 will probably always remain my favourite. The new ones are too Anime and loud for my liking.
The soundtracks / atmosphere are almost unrecognisable by today’s standards. Tekken 2, 3, Tag and 4 had incredible soundtracks and a darker / weirder tone.
Also not a fan of day 1 DLC. Still, nothing against the game itself! I’ll just stick to my PS1 emulator like the 32-year-old boomer that I am 😂

totally didnt catch my drift during beta. I’ll prolly buy it around christmas next year if theres nothing new to play, but I dont get whats so special about Tekken 8. Maybe I missed some features?
Tekken 2 is one of the best sequels ever imho. They took everything about the first game and expanded opon it, massively, creating a game that felt 5X as big as the first. So while 90% of Tekken fans will always mention Tekken 3, I’ll always remember back then feeling that the jump from Tekken 2 wasn’t nearly as impressive (and to this day still prefer the hard-shadow graphical style of 2)

Tekken lost me when half the roster became DLCs
Tekken jumped the shark a LONG time ago, and I say that as someone who was a fan of the series. 3/Tag Tournament was peak Tekken in my opinion. 5 Dark Resurrection briefly revived it but it died again soon after.
Also, Tag Tournament is the greatest Tekken of them all and it’s not even close.
I haven’t play that since the PS1 days I guess it’s still a thing like MK …..

I love Tekken, but I genuinely hate having to individually purchase half of the roster.
I just found out that The Last Rockstars are doing the image song for it, so i’m getting reasonably hyped
I think it will be great and make for some great family time playing against each other. Atm we’re still playing Tekken 7 and MK1 but the monetization is awful with so so many dlc. It’s all about upselling now it seems.
So yes I’m excited about it but not sure if it’s a day1 sale or if I’m waiting another year to get an ultimate edition on discount with some dlc included
