Not having seen the movie, I’ll take S&E’s word that it’s garbage, but did Gene Siskel really go into the theater wondering if no character was going to die 🤣
This is my favorite one. It’s great. Jason is like a human and much more scare running around all limber like.
“This movie is made by people who hate movie audiences” lol
Probably the best one besides part 6
Great rant, love these guys (& the movie). I think nobody tried to ever make a F13 movie to get good critics scores.
I mean, in many ways they aren’t wrong. Friday is very much a series where the movie lines up a bunch of cannon fodder for Jason (or whoever the killer is for that movie) to kill. The characters have very little development because of that. It’s also why the franchise is a rare slasher where it really doesn’t have a Final Girl that it’s known for. There’s no Laurie, Sidney or Nancy.
That said, they’re also like some cheesy 80’s action movies where you can just flick off your brain and just enjoy some craziness for an hour and a half since there’s really no plot to be discussed.
