Halo and Starcraft LAN parties/sleepovers are something that I sorely miss as an adult 😉
I am drowning in waves of nostalgia
The Halo 2 launch weekend LAN party my friends and I threw back in 2004 holds up as one of the top weekends of my life.
I loved playing on Gamespy Arcade. The glory days. Kids don’t know how easy they have it.
Looks like the more inconvenient days
Remember when your Xbox had a name?… mine was Butcher
So much fun. LAN parties will always have my favorite multiplayer memories
I remember finding this online service that emulated system link so you could play online with people. Original Halo multiplayer on that was awesome
That just gave me flashbacks of using Xbconnect to play Halo CE online against people, good times 🙂
Some of the best memories of my life, were when we had 4 xboxs and 16 controllers and 20 people
I remember hauling my 25in CRT TV and Xbox 360 to a friends house for Halo 3/COD System Link parties back in the day. I think we had 5 or 6 systems linked one time with close to 15 players. Most of us didn’t have high speed internet at the time, so this was our main way to play multiplayer beyond 4-player split-screen.
