His album with Steve Drozd of The Flaming Lips is really good!
[My favorite Steve Burns story.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwmtkFPYXsg)
Steve looks great by the way.
I thought he became a youtube music critic? Whens the last time you saw Steve from blues clues and Anthony Fantano in the same room…..?
I feel like every 2 years he addresses the rumors.
I’m too old to have watched blue’s clues, but it always struck me as a really positive kids show and not annoying like many others. Dora the explorer is a nuisance to listen to in the background, blue’s clues isn’t.
I got very verklempt. Having kids (now adults) who I watched that show with will do this. Thanks Steve and Blue.
Due to my age group Blue’s Clues was not part of my consumption but I knew it was there and the basic idea it was founded upon.

Much later I wound up watching [his monologue on The Moth](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwmtkFPYXsg) and realized he was just a very articulate, funny, relatable person.

It’s a 17 minute video, but if you like listening to great story tellers, it’s worth the watch.

Edit: The part where the nerdy artists tell him he has to go out on a date with the Playboy model… “You have to call her… for us!” kills me every time.
Glad they touch on Josh at the end, who will be beloved by kids of today. Dude is insanely energetic, but not in that manic kids’ show way. Very controlled energy, very talented guy. Blues Clues is in good hands.
such a lovely man. i had blue’s clues on in the backgroun when studying became stressful in college. good times
Love ya, steve
First genuine smile I have had in 3 months.
he was the reason I always got excited when I got mail lol
It has to be fake, there’s no way that if salt and pepper fucked their baby would be paprika.
My daughter watches Blue’s Clues now and I still stand by the fact Steve was and IS the best friend Blue has ever had
He’s got a great story that he tells on that “Live at The Moth” npr radio show
handy dandy notebook
At first glance thought it was Maynard from TOOL 😂
why do i admire this man? I was too old for blues clues 20 years ago but not my son watches it today.
Wait, people thought he died?
Addresses the rumor that he’s really Maynard James Keenan?
Insightful and thoughtful dude, never picked that up back in the day.
Cool to see 🙂
Time to give this guy a Ted Lasso-ish series. We need more heart and sincerity in media.
I’m just letting the wholesomeness wash over me. 😌
I thought he was a pipe hitter stacking bodies in Iraq?
He looks like Chester Bennington here
What rumor, can’t watch vid
I just remembered I heard he put two pencils up his nose and head-butted the table. Who was making this shit up and how was it spreading!
I was a teen when Blue’s Clues came out and I would babysit one of my nieces and her friends and he became one of my first crushes. The show never irritated me or became annoying (looking at you Barney, still love ya though) and I still sing the mail song when getting the mail with my 6 year old great niece.
I had heard the rumors and back then it was harder to fact check so I could see why he needs to let everyone know every couple of years that he’s still alive. He was a big part of many little millennial baby lives and obviously he meant a lot to them.
I’m glad he’s doing well and his time away from the show was wonderful for him!
(Originally I heard he left the show because he started to lose his hair and didn’t want the kids to get confused. Or something to that effect)
Watching this brings tears to my eyes – something that I don’t normally do. It brings me back to those crazy, busy, scary days of when my kids were young and so full of wonder. I was dad. I was the strongest man in the world and I knew everything. Blue’s Clues with Steve was a part of this time. A period that I felt would last forever. Walking with little hands holding my fingers. Sharing and explaining new things to these mini versions of almost-me. This is a joy that I never fully appreciated, nor did I think those days would end – until they did.
My children would react to Steve. They would talk to the TV. He brought out an excitement to learn things that are good and dare I say – things that perhaps I did not teach as well as Steve. I came to look forward to my time with the kids and Blue’s Clues.
Thank you Steve for helping to shape, in your own way, my children and their future.
