    I think the cabins are pressurized to the equivalent of ~10,000 feet (300m).

    If your gut gases are used to sea level pressures and the outside pressure decreases, your gut gases expand.

    Where is this larger volume of gas going to go?

    I was on a plane recently and I noticed I had really bad gas. I was holding in my farts so long my stomach did that weird *Ewwwwrrrrr* sound
