Possibly so your child with celiac disease can eat some. No they shouldn’t eat any, but you just know some kid is going to try some.

It’s a childrens thing, kids put stuff in their mouths, put their hands in their mouths that are all covered in it.
Compare it to Play doh, it can cause reactions in children because it contains wheat gluten.

Because play-doh is full of gluten and it gets on your hands when you play with it, and hands end up in mouths of kids. If you have a celiac kid this is important.

Gluten is a protein produced by the wheat plant….. therefore walnuts are gluten free as well
People with Celiacs can still have other reactions (rashes) to products containing gluten without ingesting it. This why some lotions, shampoos, soaps, and tooth pastes offer gluten free options.

My kid eats the sand in her sandpit. She’s disappointed every time but she keeps thinking _this_ time it’ll be tasty.
You just know kids are eating this and if they are coeliac it’s important it’s gluten free.

Kids are morons with no sense of self preservation.
In first grade, one of my classmates ate a sheet of construction paper because he thought it was Blue Raspberry flavored. Trust me, kids will eat stuff.
