Jesus that’s epic!
Home town hero’s
Love Skalmold, really love the Midgardsormir track.
Well this is asking to be a movie score.
Thank you – thank you – thank you for sharing. That was…I’ll use amazing but it’s not nearly enough.
Like TSO, but with less christmas cheer.
Amazing band. Their songs are based on viking mythology and also follow the traditional structure of Norse poetry.
First I’ve heard them. Just beautiful!!
Wonderful. Thank you for posting this.
I loved it until they started singing.
I don’t know what they’re saying but I kinda want to go sail an old ship to a different country and drink some fukin booze right now.
I don’t understand the language, but is this is the Edda of getting a new puppy? If so, perfect. Otherwise, perfect.
this is what iceland sounds like 24/7
“Hel” from the same concert slaps unbelievably hard as well.
The full concert is up on YouTube, albeit unofficially. Hel and Valholl are my favorites from that show, and Midgardsormir (probably misspelt) is an excellent track as well.
Also, the first four tracks of Med Vettum (which was released quite some time after this concert) are perfection.
Skálmöld is absolutely fantastic!
Why do so many singers make out with the damn microphone? Do you really need your lips all up on it for it to put up your vocals?
[I got to interview Bjorgvin from Skalmold years ago](https://npollard.wordpress.com/2014/12/14/interview-skalmold/), and had a nightmare pronouncing the names of a lot of things, and found myself saying things like “your latest album” a lot.
They’re not even the hardest thing to read in this video title.
That was bad outta fuck!
The live version of Miðgarðsormur in particular is incredible. Love these guys.
I am not a big heavy metal fan. But good lord I enjoyed this a couple times already. This was awesome!
