I’m really looking forward to this. The set looks amazing!
Ngl, been waiting for an adaptation ever since I read the books. What a great concept for a TV show.
Not sure how they’re going to handle the tonal shift of Book 2 (it’s largely a flashback) but it’ll be interesting nonetheless.
when something is based on a best selling series i’m always curious and look it up. the first book came out in 2011 and was self-published on the amazon/kindle store which is pretty interesting. there are so many stories out there that can become great visual media but might not get picked up by a traditional publisher and this opens the door for them
i’m interested in this show based on the trailer but i hope it doesn’t fall into plots like “oh no, the power generator is broken” and after fixing it the next episode is a bug infestation in the crops. i’m guessing if there has been actual interest in developing this (all the way to ridley scott and steve zaillian being named producers) then surely there’s something more to it than a .. silo opera?
anyone else remember Ascension from syfy? reminds me of that
Seems like a mix of City of Ember and Fallout. Interesting.
I got chills watching the trailer. This is going to be incredible.
Had no idea they were making a tv show!
Holy shit. It’s like they copied the book from my brain. The shots of the silo, suits and everything are exactly how I imagined it while reading Wool.
What if Snowpiercer, but down
Holy shit this looks good, the set design looks better than I could have hoped
Ann Perkins? In *my* sci-fi dystopia show??
Looks interesting and a great cast. This will pair nicely with Severance.
Shows like this are always a slippery slope especially when they’re based on a book series, but this has a solid cast & the showrunner is Graham Yost who’s become a television stalwart for a reason (hint: he’s a tremendous writer). I’ll remain optimistic.
Looks kinda generic.
The aesthetic looks excellent, but every piece of dialogue in the trailer seems like it was constructed entirely of cliches that sound completely unnatural coming out of someone’s mouth.
Now this is something I’ll be excited for! Apple are smashing it.
I find it funny that it’s Apple and not Amazon putting out this show considering this was probably one of if not the biggest success for Amazon’s self-publishing push.
The books are great. Looking forward to this one
Yet another of what i call “theres something theyre not telling us” dramas
I LOVE this book series. I HIGHLY recommend reading it before watching the show. It looks exactly how I picture it!
it’s been ages since I read these.
Is this the Silo or Wool series? (or maybe both together?)
I’ll need to re-read. I think I liked them so much because >!there wasn’t this big twist at the end. You really did die if you left. the Silo kept everyone alive. and even after that reveal, there was still a very good story!<
Ok, as a fan of the book, I will sign up for Apple TV to watch this. I’ll try to sync it up with Severance Season 2.
Please join us over at r/siloseries to discuss the show once it starts airing!
“What if everything you knew was one big lie?”
Please fire whoever copy/pasted that cliche dialogue.
Silo, ain’t that a Vinny Chase and Billy Walsh project?
Apple TV just gonna make a better Fallout than Amazon?
Silo green is people?
shit i read this like ten years ago and remember nothing
Apple comes through again with another great looking sci-fi. It has become my preferred channel for sci-fi shows.
This feels like it might fill that void that Colony left
