After years of travel in Latin America, Asia and Europe, I finally found a place that checked all the boxes, and I moved to Saranda. A nice mix of east and west, peaceful, no pollution and near the sea (my apartment is right on the beach). Those are sailboats and Corfu, Greece, in the background.
Waking up to a view like that, and for less than $15 a night, can’t complain. Albania is transforming from an undiscovered to discovered country, I’d recommend visiting before that happens.
