Replaced our handsoap (right) with a replica carved out of a potato (left). Lets see how many days it takes until somebody notices.

Dirty family!
When it starts sprouting things I hope it still goes unnoticed like a sad potato soap bar at a dance
Potatoe is gonna brown a bit before someone notices I bet
Back when my father and stepmother were dating, my family went on a trip to a village on the coast of Northern California. There were lots of tiny shops there, most of which sold bespoke artwork and handmade items. One such establishment stocked everything from jam to washcloths… and it was there that my father fed his then-girlfriend some soap.
Now, he insists that the whole thing was a misunderstanding: He’d reportedly found some elegantly shaved slivers of soap on a silver dish, held the whole thing out to show to my stepmother, then watched as she’d grabbed a slice, popped it into her mouth, and started chewing. As a look of horrified realization came into her eyes, my father silently held out his hand for her to spit into.
*She* claims that the whole thing was a flawlessly executed prank.
The thing is, my father didn’t really do anything to mitigate that impression. That same night, he took the time to whittle a block of cheese into what looked like a bar of soap (complete with a rough copy of the Dial logo), then leave it in the shower that they’d be sharing… after “accidentally” hiding all other body-cleaning options, of course.
Frankly, some people are amazed that they wound up getting married.
**TL;DR: Surreptitious soap starts scampish shenanigans.**
You mean like this guy did [here?](https://www.reddit.com/r/HolUp/comments/sprzdq/swapped_soap_with_a_potato/)
Spray with lemon juice to keep it looking fresh!
Make mashed potatoes with soap and get back to me
I am having a hard time imaging the type of boredom that would lead to this.
Almost immediately unless you have a nasty ass family that doesn’t wash their hands? This sounds like it would be fun for less time than it took to peel the potato..
looks like someone with r/TooMuchTime
Yay! Not being able to properly wash your hands for days!
Pretty gross tbh
You should have replaced it with raw chicken breast!
The first time they’re fingers smell like potatoes and poo.
That potato will be brown in 48 minutes
Mischief made. Wouhahaha.
More people doing soggy lines of coke than washing their hands.
Let’s hope it’s before pink eye or other poop born diseases make people sick.
Twist: OP lives by himself
This is a bad idea during a pandemic.
This reminds me of the bobs burgers episode where Tina gets excited because she thinks they’ve got a new bar of soap but it was just a peeled potato
Starchyer day off right with this apeeling new scent: Earthen Garden
Days!? Not even 2 years ago, someone would’ve noticed almost *immediately* if their soap was a potato. With all the hand washing we did every 17 minutes. Then again, most of us were on lockdown at the time. Some were forced to spend that time on their own. If I had tried that prank, the only person to have found it would’ve be—.. it would’ve been… me.
Watch the potato get used more than the soap.
*Gets C. Dif* “Alright, who switched the soap with a potato?”
Not even a bit funny. If I lived with you I’d be seriously concerned for your mental health.
This is going to make them sick
Not long after it oxidizes in an hour or less.
And then you realize people went poop and didn’t wash their hands with soap…. This grosses me out…
“They didn’t notice, and now everyone but me has gut parasites!”
These are not pandemic pranks
This is dumb. People going to get the E. coli. Is that where we’re at with the practical jokes??
Don’t you have anything better to do? Why don’t you clean your room.
BREAKING- ECOLI OUTBREAK LOCALIZED WITHIN THIS GUY’S HOUSE
No. This is still a pandemic…
That’s disgusting.
> Lets see how many days it takes until somebody notices
probably right around the time the whole house gets e-coli
It should only take a day or two before the potato starts to look off
Unless you live with complete idiots who have never touched soap in their lives, I’ll guess instantly. When it doesn’t lather? Or rots two days in? I’d notice.
As people blithely spread germs during a pandemic…
It will literally be noticed the very first time.
…
Moving along…
That’s just nasty
30 min, then the potato turns brown
We found hotel soap that looked like our snack cheese…we almost left it. https://imgur.com/mP1xS4D
Meanwhile everyone in your home is “washing” their shit stained hands with a potato and then reaching all the way into the chip bag.
It will literally rot in 10 hrs attracting small fly like things
Finally a good prank
