I like how much effort your wife puts into each button press. Every press has emphasis.
Pop’n Music players in Japan are no joke. I played the game for years, and in North America, I was always one of the top players in the city, no matter which city I moved to.
Came to Japan, and almost everyone is better than me here. Actual middle-school girls wipe the floor with me. If I visit any arcade with Pop’n Music here, I can count on being one of the weakest players waiting in line.
But watching top Pop’n Music players is so satisfying. The button clicky-clacks really [give the ASMR vibes](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSezV-VAwhE). Highly recommend.

I got really good at guitar hero, could play most songs on expert level but the most fun I ever had with the game was watching my gf play it for the first time on beginner level laughing at missing notes and making me remember I started out the same way.

So pre COVID we had this big convention that came every year and turned our convention center into basically a giant free play arcade. I mean machines as far as the eye can see. One of my favorite parts was all the Japanese rhythm games. People would bring headphones to plug in.
I was shocked by how many there are. Like how do you pick which one to grind at and get good on? Which ones are most popular?

It’s wild watching these guys in person. I’ve seen lots that bring their own special gloves to play. That, and the drumming game that’s also quite popular. When you see a dude roll up with his own sticks, you know he means business.
