Q300. A cheap Chinese controller that got stuck drift in less than six months. But its one of the most ergonomic designs with a grip material I wish more controllers would adopt. It’s too good of a design to be so poorly made

I went thru 5 wasteful drift prone controllers: one razer wolverine, two Logitech f710, one logitech f310 and one Fantech Shooter II. I’m sticking with keyboard and mouse.

Have someone with good electronics knowledge open it up and replace the potentiometers with quality ones and you get your preferred controller back 🙂

I find the topic of stick drift so confusing.
I played my PS1, 2 and 3 controllers to death. I even use the PS3 controllers till now on my PC (they are like 9 years old) and they have no stick drift what so ever.
Did the sensors become so much worse, that stick drift is a permanent issue nowadays?

How long does a 1st party controller last for you?

The trouble with saying “6 months” is that I don’t know how many hours per day you play.

take it to a repair shop see if they can replace the internal joysticks with official ones, it should be cheap and easy enough for them to do

Only 8BitDo controllers. I have their controller from Ultimate series and I don’t need anything else. When you put your hands on 8BitDo controller, you will never want to touch this trash from Sony or Microsoft.

Since its drifting can you open it up and you could post pics of the inside and componenets. Might be able to get afew sets of sticks online for the price of new one

I think the best 3rd party pad I ever had was the afterglow for the Xbox 360. It was basically the same pad but a bit smaller and at a great price.

The cheap one looked like the grips are rubberized which can quickly turn sticky from the oils in your hands.

I love the shape of the xbox controller and it is ergonomically perfect for me.

However, I am getting less than 12 months out of a new controller before I have stick drift issues. I have bought 3 controllers in 2 years and they all succumb to this. 2 regulars controllers and a used 1st gen elite controller. I get it on a used controller which was fine for about 2 months, brand new controllers shouldn’t have this problem.

To the comment regarding my over sensitive to this, I play rocket league mostly. Stick drift is very evident, I am not a moron.

Seems like the chinese company couldn’t make their mind up. Playstation, Switch, XBOX? Fuck it lets make them guess what device this controller is for.
