Portable gaming is great. I love being able to take a break from the daily grind to do something I truly enjoy.

As a fellow tower crane operator, I am thinking of doing exactly this!
You have a powerful thumb
*When you lie on your resume to get the job but now you got it and have to scramble to learn how to operate a crane*
Gaming inception… I dig it
My job also has a computer game.

Plane Mechanic Simulator.

I don’t have it………yet.
You’re a mobile game operator
Thought to myself “since when am I sorting by hot?”
Playing games that are based on your job is ironically more rewarding than doing the job
The walls between reality and fantasy are starting to blur…and with that I ask us to all get main character powers.
Gotta get some construction simulators
How does the sim/game compare to reality?
Half life 2, my favorite game hands down.
Is working a giant air conditioned crane in real life as awesome of a job as I’d expect it to be?
Quality content.
Is this Vancouver?
My room mate who works as a lawyer often takes long shits at work and plays Ace Attorney on his phone.
But have you been to Ravenholm?
Welp.. time for my annual Half-Life marathon.
God. This reminds me of my time my friend (a truck driver) invited me (also a truck driver) over to his house. We’re both gamers and we got a new game he really wanted me to try. He was *adamant* that I come play it. I come over and what is it. Fucking *Truck Driving Simulator* DUDE! I drive these for 12 hours a day, the fuck I wanna do it more for??
I work crunching numbers and in Excel all day. Waiting for the game that matches my job.
Portable gaming is weird to me. I _love_ games, I spend entire weekends just sitting down and playing them, by all accounts I would say that I am somewhat _addicted_ to them.
However I can’t get interested in portable gaming. For me it “crosses a line” where my entire life would be consumed by games and as much as I love them and spend with them, I just can’t do that to myself.
Ah yes Crane Simulator 2021. TBH I feel like this once great franchise has been suspended in mediocrity for a few years now
The car is ready for you doctor freeman
I’m just nostalgic for a place NOT covered in humans trying to sell stuff.
Where is this? Vancouver?
Huh. Why aren’t there any crane games out there? Think about it. Why is there no “dock worker” sim or tower construction game?
Name of the game
you’re telling me you carried your steam deck all the way up the crane for this photo? I’d be sweating my butt off worrying I would somehow drop it
Find what you love to do, and you’ve never work a day in your life.
I played this exact part yesterday for at least the 20th time. HL2 and the episodes are on permanent install on my pc.
This feels like an ad for the steam deck
Please post this to the Half Life sub.
You will probably trigger a trend where people go to random places to recreate HL images on their deck. I love that sub; it’s insane there.
Its funny, I live about 10 minutes away from this spot, and I’ve also seen your previous posts on the bf1 sub and know you’re a fellow Chauchat enjoyer. Small world
Am I seeing this correctly?
You are taking a break from your crane job to then have to control a crane in-game
That’s really funny
Portable gaming is great
Is the steam deck a good introduction to pc gaming? Could you still mod games like Fallout and Skyrim? I have played consoles for years but Im a complete noob with Pc gaming
Most people on their breaks would usually have lunch or just relax, but this guy, this guy decides to do a playthrough on Half Life 2? GREAT IDEA!
What do you do if need to go to the bathroom in a crane? Is there one up there or do you have to go all the way down?
You running a Pecco sk 170 from Coupal ? I did that big 49 story a couple years back just to your right . I’ve got a switch , a game changer for those slow days .
