This is literally me, this morning. Stupid golden clock.
Wouldn’t be ashamed 🤣
Don’t let anyone diss you for playing stardew valley, that game is a must play.
Hours feel like minutes playing that game. I get it.
At what point DO you become a hardcore gamer? Is it when you fully emerse yourself in gamer gear and stream? Or what if you play online matches nonstop trying to improve your K/D ratios? What if you have 648 games in your library but you only play one consistantly? Where is the line?
So, yes?
Is this implying that playing sv for a whole night doesn’t make you a hard-core gamer?
I tried the game for an hour. Explored the town because the quest ask you to talk to everyone but then got bored. Does it get better after ?
That greenhouse ain’t gonna unlock itself.
Doesn’t matter the game. If you are spending that many hours at it…. if you are losing sleep over it…. you are a hard core gamer.
This comic comes off a bit like gatekeeping. A person who plays Stardew Valley all night is no less of a gamer than someone who plays Halo for an equal amount of time.
Gotta have those blue chickens…
Video games and my crippling insomnia are perfect partners.
This is my wife. Multiple play throughs with keeps coming back for more
Love me some Stardew Valley! One more day and I’ll go to bed, I promise!
I’d say Stardew Valley _is_ hardcore. Getting all the fish, friendship with the other villagers, food and completing Journey of the Prairie King takes an uncanny amount of dedication and skill.
Just one more day, I’ll stop then the day is over. Oh! My crops are ready to harvest better do that before calling it. Probably should finish this quest real quick, why is it so bright in here? Oh fuck is that the sun? Shit what time is it? Crap I’m late for work!!
Should’ve explained it as “Grinding amethyst so a fictional goth chick with daddy issues can be your girlfriend”
If a game makes you not stop playing it that’s a Good game, which is quite hard to find these days
I have been gamer for 33 years now. And I still am not very good at it. People assume that just because I play a lot of games that I am really good at it. Well I am not.
Thankfully it is just something I enjoy doing. Not something I need to do as profession or anything.
Resource management games have a way of sucking you in. I think for both Stardew Valley and Factorio my first play session was about 14 hours. Started just after 5:00pm and didn’t stop until the sun started to come through my window.
I don’t care what game it is, if you stay up all night playing it, you’re a hardcore gamer.
If you play Stardew Valley seriously and I mean seriously it can be hardcore. SDV is actually one of the best games I played in the last 10 years.
The Valley Fair is coming up. Dude, I need to get my gold star shit together for the big grange display. The competition is fierce in ol’ P Town. No time for sleep!
This some hardcore farming right here
