So you’re telling me the line reading at 1:48 where she says “hangry” instead of “angry” was the best take?
I absolutely love that you can briefly see Dennis Hopper as King Koopa at 1:53.
And I have been persuaded not to see this
Wait, Dakota Johnson is playing Anne? I have a hard time seeing her in that role.

Looks decent. Haven’t seen an old school romance in a while.
I know Jane Austen purists will hate this but I think it looks really cute! It’s pretty, everyone’s attractive and it’s nice to see Dakota Johnson in something fun.
This looks amazing
Persuasion is my favorite book of Austen. Im not really sure what to think of this to be honest. Seems like Fleabag but just because of the breaking of the 4th wall. Dakota Johnson isnt who I envision as Anne* at all. She is too spunky here? Hope it does well though and she surprises me with her performance. And more people pick up the book too.
Eek (sorry I meant not who I envision as Anne (not Jane hehe!)
She looks nice
I’m in two minds. I kinda hate it, looks like they’ve ruined a fantastic book trying to make it ‘modern’ (what’s wrong with a properly done period romance?!?!) But i also do want to watch it, looks kinda fun
I’m not suggesting Dakota Fanning can’t play Anne.
But in the trailer she isn’t playing Anne.
This take might have worked better as a play.
