this band is amazing. was supposed to play with them at Psycho Las Vegas a few years ago but their visas got messed up and they missed the show. huge bummer. still need to catch them!

“Kuulen ääniä maan alta” roughly translates to “I hear sounds from under the groud”. Perhaps talking about corpses?

Saw them in Oakland a few years back. Amazing band. This record is a GOAT for me. Can’t tell you how many times I spun it when it came out. There’s a great youtube live performance of this as well that they did during the pandemic.

I hear a lot of great things here tbh. My only criticism is my own biases when dissecting anything labeled “Psychedelic” whether it be black metal, Hip-hop, post-hardcore, etc. anything with that subcategory of “psychedelic”

When I think of “psychedelic” I often transpose my experiences with psychs onto the music. For me the juxtaposition of sounds and rhythms in a non-typical composition is at the heart of anything “psychedelic”. I love the ambient controlled chaos of background effects and the music itself but this feels kinda constrained.

Maybe being a massive The Mars Volta fan has jaded me in a way but I would love to see a more chaotic version of this band.

Also the vocals here aren’t my cup of tea. It reminds me of the samsara blue experiment or many of the Stoner doom metal I’ve heard. The music is so compelling but the vocals/lyrics leave something to be desired.

Just my 2 cents guys I’m just an idiot who prefers prog-rock so don’t mind me lol 😂 😰

Thank you so much for sharing this. I’m now listening to the whole album and I’m just mesmerised. This is so incredibly cool and it hits just the right spot between being atmospheric and being aggressive. I think I might actually buy the CD, I’m seriously impressed.
