I always loved this scene. The actor who played the centurion nailed it just with facial expressions.
not much nuance there, they might as well put black mustaches and goatees on the romans.
religious propaganda doesn’t really “move me”
Everytime I see this scene I think of the Mr. Burns movie in The Simpsons episode where they had the film festival. “Drink up, Judah Ben Hur” *hands him plastic water bottle* “You truly are the King of Kings” “Excellent.”
One of the best movies, I watch it every year when they put it on the German tv in the Christmas time.
Not always subtle, but still a great adventure movie ( with a message or two).
