Good poster, Clean and Complex Both.
It’s out March 31 on Apple TV
>Based on the true story of American Video game salesman Henk Rogers (Taron Egerton) and his discovery of Tetris in 1988. When he sets out to bring the game to the world, he enters a dangerous web of lies and corruption behind the Iron Curtain.

At first I was like Tetris??? But I honestly didn’t know how deep of a story was behind this. I am excited for this movie for sure.
I’m glad the got the blue L-shaped piece on board: he had been holding out for more money and a beefier role. The movie just wouldn’t work without him.
I’ve been playing Tetris Effect a lot recently. Too much, in fact. While being a bit over-worked and under the weather, I have struggled to work effectively this week. My head has been a bit fried. I was chatting to someone last night at a work-related thing and while talking I could see Tetris shapes in front of his face, EXACTLY like in this poster. So I deleted the game last night cos it clearly isn’t healthy for me!
I for one, want more films about businessmen doing business deals to bring us huge brands. The Founder is a GOAT film. This and Air are gonna be the films of the year.
Looking forward to the sequel, which is the same movie faster.
So it is about that game. I was half worried about Tetris becoming a generic name for a movie.
I am the man who arranges the blocks
I remember I thought this movie would’ve been like on the actual game and the origins about it.
Taron is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors. He was fantastic in Black Bird
It was difficult writing the script. As soon as they finished the character’s lines, they’d disappear.
“The story you couldn’t make up.” Except 99% of the movie will probably be very loosely based on reality.
Are they just going to make a movie or series about every company, Uber, workday, Tetris, etc. happy this one does have a more interesting story
There was a time when I played so much Tetris that when I wasn’t playing it, I saw the pieces falling and lines clearing in every day things. Like I would be in class and look at the board and then I’d just start seeing Tetris pieces. I took a long sabbatical after that
Promises to be a real blockbuster
sucks in on apple tv and ill never watch it
The creator of Tetris was screwed out of profits from Tetris for like 30 years.
And now a movie gets made about Tetris, and it centers around someone other than the creator.
Good times, good times.
Edit: great points have been made about the original creators involvement in this movie, which is sufficient
BBC made a great documentary on Tetris with interviews from Henk Rogers and Alexey Pajitnov. A lot of the plot points are talked about here. It’s called, “Tetris – From Russia With Love https://youtu.be/NhwNTo_Yr3k
The movie looks so good honestly
With Chris Pratt playing the Square.
Why is every movie either a biopic or recent historical recountment?
*yawn*
Whose idea was it that they start green lighting these scripts en-masse
If anyone is interested, videogame historian has an incredible hourlong video all about the history of Tetris: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fQtxKmgJC8
Who’s playing Smashboy?
The quality of this poster paired with the fact that the movie comes out less than a month from now is telling me they almost forgot to make a poster, since this is going direct to streaming.
I watched he history of tetris by gaming historian on YouTube. Was pretty interesting.
Is this going to be about Jonas Neubauer? I hope so. Guy was a legend.
The trailer was amazing! I love it.
I’m tired of these bullshit pr films about rich people
A story of how capitalism stole something for a guy who wanted to share a game with people.
scrappy American individualist defeats evil communists v20000
No one’s talking about what a lazy shit execution this key art is?
It’s a no brainer. Just build Taran’s image out of blocks. Like pixel art. Make the blocks small so you can see the image from far away and when you look close it’s blocks. How hard is this??
Who ever made that poster does not know how to play tetris.
