Internment camp?
If that was a concentration camp they’d be wearing striped clothing, and be suffering from malnutrition. The internment camps were wrong, but not deadly.

What goes on in that building? Quarantine, library, okole? Also, love the open door with the ‘please keep doors closed’ sign.
My grade 1 teacher in 1959 Vancouver was the wonderful Miss Matsuzaki. She was early 20s then. Years later, I realized that she would have spent the war years in an internment camp and emerged to teach the children of the people who treated her so badly.
