Looks like a double penis monster to me
My 6 years old son has been testing the waters for gaming by playing Zelda together with me.
Yesterday when he came home from the kindergarten, he showed me how he had made a Stone Talus (a.k.a Stone Monster) from thick paper. He wanted to have some of the small magnets I use on my 3D printing projects so he would be able to glue them on and make the limbs detachable. I of course said “no” as such small magnets can be dangerous if accidentally swallowed. His sister is only 3 years old, so a lot of things still end up in the mouth.
I suggested that maybe I should model it in 3D and then I can print it with the magnets embedded to the print, and this is the result.
All the parts are detachable, including the crystal on the shoulder. The magnets are 4mm x 6mm neodymium magnets, and are inserted to the print while it is paused on the correct layer height.
The drawing is actually very close to the real thing. I’m very impressed that he drew that out of memory.
Nice, do the elemental ones
Did you use a filament printer for that?
Looks like shit
This is pretty cool! I only got my own Switch Lite and BotW last year and have recently restarted the game after a bit of a hiatus from it.
Have you shown him a Stalnox yet? If you haven’t, what advice would you give your 6yo if he were to encounter one? Ya know, hypothetically speaking…
That is so cool, you seem like a really chill dad. Hope you guys will enjoy Tears of the kingdom
WAIT A MINUTE, this is Nintendo intellectual property! Your son did not design that! I’ll see little Billy in court! GOOD DAY SIR.
i love stone talus battle song
Ohhh, so badass. I got a printer about a month ago, me and my son(7) are obsessed. Were both jumping in headstrong and I can see his brain starting to look around the everyday world and think, “Hmmm, how can I print that”. He’s been mentioning wanting to make models for us to print, can’t wait till that day.
Should try the next one with Magnets on it’s arms so it can re-assemble itself like in the game.
This is so cute
You could put some magnets in each piece so that it can disassemble just like in the game
aaaawwww. Look at his little hat
I love it
OMG I LOVE IT
Hey! Hey! It’s Talus not Talos! Get out Thalmor!
As soon as I saw this, its soundtrack instantly played inside my head.
Love the dick arms
That thing scared me so much when I first encountered it, caught me off guard, but that made it so much more satisfying when I finally beat it. Also, great model, you and your son are both very talented!
What a sweet collab, so cute! Being able to 3D print ideas at home must be an adventure.
Hey OP, any tips for somebody who wants to get into designing/printing? Like, what program/printer would be good for a noob who wants to try to just learn this stuff on the internet but might suck at it?
thats so cool. have you printed a [lucky 13](https://www.printables.com/model/148367-lucky-13-printable-jointed-figure) for him? its awesome
I forgot that annoying fuck existed
You are good man
Mmmm… Imma gonna have to sledgehammer that a bit… sorry, but I need just 3 more diamonds to upgrade my circlet to level 4.
Did you add jolly ranchers inside?
