My mom was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of three and was one of the youngest/ first patients to test the insulin pump. She was about 4/5 years old when this commercial was filmed and did several commercials with Burt Reynolds and Barry & Andy Gibb for the American Diabetes Association.

What is it about old, scratchy voice recordings that sounds so good? For some reason they sound richer and fuller than the crisp, clean recordings we have today.
