Fabulous, and presume his dream came true
Crazy to think how young all these guys were as well. Practically kids, with their entire lives ahead of them, yet still willing to sacrifice being able to marry, have a family, go to school, even work a boring 9-5 job. Definitely the greatest generation, and I’m happy your great-grandpa was one of the lucky ones who made it home!
