Except strangers consistently are not the real statistical danger to children. It’s nearly always family or friends.
Actually “stranger danger” is largely a false flag that diverts attention from the source of most kidnappings/abuse, which is family members.
At this point a lot more people have put a lot more research into this than I ever will. For a really great in depth look I would listen to the podcast “You’re wrong about”.

We might never recover as a society for the harm the stranger danger movement has done to children in the US. Before this crap my friends and I would ride our bikes all across town to friends houses, to the corner store, the park afterwards we couldn’t leave the block.
Fast forward to now and my friend had the cops called on her for letting her kids play unsupervised in their front yard.
Wow. Never seen this original Scruff McGruff version before. He sounds like he’s got some bitterness over some older cold cases.
We need this version today. Not the Smokey the Bear pristine one.

I remember my dad teaching me about kidnappers when i was a little boy. My dad has always been friendly and kind, stern but always nice even when i fucked up. But when he taught me about kidnappers he scared the shit outta me. Seems to have worked though bc i was never kidnapped.
