I despise it when a character, male or female, is portrayed as the ultimate badass who makes the others look like posers. It’s a cliché that needs to die.
Imagine if like, he killed Galadriel in the first swing.. he was going for a mortal blow not merely “scoring flesh.”
Would he still be made lieutenant? Lieutenant of what? Definitely not the travel to middle earth which would be cancelled. Probably would’ve saved the people of Numenor a lot of trouble. Isildur never would’ve traveled to Middle Earth. You know, maybe this wouldn’t have been so bad.
The music and fight choreography made this scene feel very Disney
No thanks.

They really should have redirected the money they spent on costumes/cinematography/special effects towards the writing.
And here I was thinking nothing could beat the Arthur Dayne fight choreography in terms of cringe.
I loved it
The worst thing about this otherwise quite fun scene is that it continues to make an absolute mockery of the Numernorean men whom Tolkien wrote about. They were the greatest humans who ever walked Arda, they were master shipwrights and the most fiercest of warriors who stood 8ft tall but they also had the minds of the wisest sage. They were awe inspiring.
But this show makes them look like total idiots.
This thread is literally a cesspool
some Numenoreans, lmao. What a trash fest this show is
why is the sword making noises when it isn’t hitting anything?
More Amazon garbage. This feels like disney princess or a marvel show.
