Its widely believed now that Judy was vastly exaggerating the behaivor of the little people on the set of The Wizard of Oz. She basically made much of it up later in life so she could have good stories to tell during TV interviews.
Sadly, the monstrous way the studio treated her was not exaggerated. Her personal life was controlled and she was basically forced to take all manner of drugs to keep her thin, keep her awake, get her to sleep, etc. She was a generational talent who had the life squeezed out of her early in life and never recovered.

It’s an irrational feeling that I’ve never experienced prior to or since seeing their performance.
