This is really sweet. My boss got us a Cameo from David Hasselhoff, and even for a drunk man in a deckchair, it was low effort.

Damn seems like a super nice guy. Also her has 1212 reviews, so even if every single user reviewed him he’s made over $200k doing this. Probably a fair amount more

I met Jim O’ Hair at my old job doing security for a restaurant and I can confidently say he is one the kindest people I’ve ever met. I asked him if there was any way I could get an autograph for a friend of mine who was a huge fan of Parks and Rec and he was so excited and happy to do it. I took out a small notebook I had for journaling and he wrote a very nice message to my friend. After that, he asked if we should record a short video message. I never asked or anything, he suggested it. I was so excited and amazed by how friendly he was to a complete stranger. I had met some other celebrities doing work for that place and he was BY FAR the kindest most approachable person you can meet. Jim was an absolutely beautiful person and I love telling people how genuine he is. Also, he had the biggest penis I’d ever seen.

I had him do a cameo as an anniversary gift for my wife. You only get a small amount of characters to leave a message so I put that we’re fans of parks and rec, he’s our favorite character, a small blurb about our anniversary and then mentioned our kid’s names. He made a 3 or 4 minute long video like this one, partially in character and partially as himself. He mentioned our anniversary, said hi to my kids, talked a bit out of character about marriage and life…it was amazingly funny and heartfelt. He absolutely could have produced a low effort 30 second clip to fulfill his obligation but he went above and beyond, further securing himself as our favorite character and actor from the show. He really is as kind as his character.

I got one from him for my ex and it was the best thing. He was doing bits, asking Millie for help with his phone, the whole 9.

Haha I thought this was my video for a second because he opened it the same way! Jerry, in full character, was part of my proposal to my wife. I did this scavenger hunt of moments in our relationship and one clue was a password for this video and Jerry was supposed to give the next clue. It was awesome and instead of just giving the clue, he gave her the answer, which I felt was also in character. Aw geez

This whole cameo thing is so strange to me. Like, it’s a great thing… I think? Fans get direct personalized messages. Celebrities get an easy way to make some quick cash (particularly ones who have a strong fanbase but whose phones maybe aren’t ringing off the hook with new job offers). And the price seems high, but not like *completely unaffordable* for most people– at least, it seems to be the case by how many people seem to be buying them.

    It seems win-win.

But at the same time I absolutely could not imagine getting value out of paying someone one or two hundred bucks (that’s the going rate, right?) just so a celebrity acknowledges my *name*. I mean, for the people that are into that, that’s awesome. But getting one of these from even my favorite celebrities would just be so… weird. Like, I don’t know this person, they’re not really talking *to* me they’re just reading (or making up) a message with my name inserted.

He does! My friends got me one from him for my 30th birthday and he sent me a 15 minute video! He was in character for portions, talked a lot about the show and talked a lot about the talking points they gave him. He legitimately seemed happy and thoughtful the whole time. A+ he 100% went above and beyond and I was very grateful.

I’m currently experiencing my girlfriend’s first time watching Parks & Rec through with me and it’s the best.

Can anybody sign up to make videos for Cameo? I’m not famous in any good or bad way. I have no talents whatsoever and am definitley an old and saggy man. I’m thinking if I put up an offer I might get some cheap fuck to put up 10 bucks because he knew somebody back in high (which I am) school with the same last name.

Of course I’ll probably forget this gem in a little while.

I had a cameo video done for my father by ex Cowboy QB Danny White, and my dad was almost in tears with how great it was. It was a really great cameo. 100% recommend Danny as well.

I met him at a restaurant on Bourbon Street. He was the nicest guy and talked to me and my friends for nearly half an hour

I got to work with him a couple years ago, just after Parks ended. He came to Colorado to shoot a short with us. He and I ended up in the same little holding room and you would’ve thought he was just some random guy on the film. So so cool and down to earth. And very funny! One of the good guys for sure!
