Adrenaline is a helluva drug.
looks like the tailgate being down saved his life. the c-pillar on the incoming car caught it and saved this dude from being popped like a grape between rapidly crashing vehicle and his own truck – slowing and deflecting it. Agree with other poster tho – he may not be fine at all, because adrenaline is one hell of a drug.
He is most likely injured

People manage to walk about after accidents all the time, then just drop down dead. Not sure that this is an appropriate video for the sub if we don’t know if this guy is alright or not. He could have massive internal bleeding and die minutes after this video.
Looks like the car missed him because the tail gate was down, then he got a glancing blow that pulled him along with the car.
I’m going to guess bruises and scrapes but largely unharmed

Surprised his skull didn’t crack like an egg on the pavement
While it IS likely that he suffered SOME kind of injury from this, I watched the video in slow motion several times, and what appears to have happened is basically blind luck and physics saving him from being mortally dismembered.
The guy seems to jump a little right before the impact, putting one hand (his right) on the rear passenger window and his left hand comes up as if to touch the C pillar of the car. This likely saved his life. The car hits the tail gate first, and with his hands on the C pillar and back window, the guy is spun sideways by his right arm and thrown up and over his truck bed.
The elbow of his right jacket sleeve is torn, probably from when he hit the ground. It does look like his head might have bounced on the pavement, but the fact that he immediately got up means it probably didn’t do serious head injury. May have a mild concussion, and possibly some kind of injury to his hands or arms.

He’s not fine he just doesn’t feel it yet. It takes a minute for the body to realize it’s hurt, then for the adrenaline to wear off and then ouch.
So I’m looking for who’s at fault. Not seeing a stop sign on either visible corner, or if there’s traffic light overhead.
I don’t understand how that guy is t seriously f’d up. Luckily the tailgate resisted somewhat.
