This was such a fun movie to just sit back and giggle.
I think scary movie might be my fave comedy film, just stupid humour but the actors all nail their parts.

The part where the Killer is with Shorty and his mates and he just goes “aww man I fuckin STONED!” Always makes me laugh

I remember seeing this in the theaters with my parents for some reason and to my surprise they found this hilarious to the point that seeing Scary Movie 2 was an exciting movie to go see again in theaters. Yet my dad hated Not Another Teen Movie and walked out of it, but made it a tradition to go see the Jackass movies when they came out since they always were released around my birthday. My parents made the weirdest decisions on what I could watch or not when I was younger
Modern parody movies don’t get the deadpan characters right anymore. And yes, I think the first two Scary Movie movies are classics now.
Shorty is the best in this film. Me and my mate constantly quote this film at work. “First cops now this, I’m gonna be a star son!”

bit of an aside, i rewatched the first two Austin Power’s movies. Comedy gold. Such a unique character. Like Scary Movie, they just don’t make those types of lower budget comedies anymore. I love the Exorcist scene in the 3rd one I think when the priest is praying and flies start swarming, then they zoom out and he’s taking a shit. LOL. also, MY GERMS
Think funniest scene in this movie for me was the grand piano down the stairs and the killer is running away clearly thinking “crap, gotta get out the way here”
One of the best comedy films ever. I still quote from Brenda’s whole scene. “Shake-a-spear in Love” “I gotchu! You on candid camera now!”
When ever I see scenes like this, I think about how the shoot the photos. Like that actor had to put on that underwear and try to act “sexy” while trying to be *not* sexy to be funny. And like do they get some professional photographer to make intentionally bad photos or like just hand some poor assistant a point-and-click?
Nah mate, the part where the mean girl gets chased in that parking lot and breaks her own leg, and comments on her head being cut off, which then gets put in a lost and found box
Although they got worse and worse with each sequel, one of the most hilarious scenes out of the whole series is in Pt 3 when the guy that runs over Charlie Sheens wife asks him for a ride home.

Even the trailer was genius.
Everyone was getting burnt out on the scream franchise so when this trailer came on there was a collection of rolled eyes, groans, and “another one?”s. And then that fast zoom in on Cindy and the camera smacks her in the face and everyone went “woah wait what”
I wish there was some outtakes footage from these movies. There’s no way the actors all held it together in these scenes 😆

Kurt Fuller is such an underrated comedian actor. He was always one of my favorite characters in Psych!

I haven’t seen this movie – but I will now. Genuinely made me laugh. Is it all this well acted?
I laughed the most when Cindy was asking for help from the home computer. She types in “White woman in trouble!” hits Enter and the cops immediately show up. I love this movie. Probably the last-best parody movie I’ve watched since then.
