I decided to watch their Netflix show and ended up watching the whole thing in hysterics. These guys are hilarious!
Get out of the kiln!
So clearly a tribute to this: [scene from Holy Grail](https://youtu.be/2f5MvVx8RM8)
The word kiln started to sound really weird towards the end there.
Filling Up on Cheese Before Dinner
Right
I woke up today not even knowing what a kiln is, now I can’t stop thinking of how much I want to get in one.
I’m surprised Aunty Donna doesn’t have at least a million subscribers just based on the caliber of their uploads; she’s probably one of the most underrated channels out there.
So I got the premise of the joke several minutes before I laughed out loud at it.
*”gets up to over 300 degrees”* 💀
Just gonna leave this here. Say goodbye to an hour of your life well spent. Just know that Larry is a real audience member and I think Larry did an AMA about the experience. I watch this video from time to time even though I pretty much have the whole damn thing memorized.
Ok also this video is my other favorite live sketch they do, its better than the Netflix version IMO.
Did someone say Bill?
Is… is this suppose to be funny? Repeating the same line over and over is now what passes for humor?
I understand that it’s a classic routine of misunderstanding, such as who’s on first from abbott and costello. But that routine was snappy and didn’t just repeat the same single joke over and over, it mixed it up with every position on the field.
This video was just repeating the same line over and over.
I always come back to this unlisted clip from the podcast: [Deconstruction of Film and Cinema](https://youtu.be/9jhaxjdv538).
Lots of comments praising them but I turned it off after 3 seconds because I get the joke and it’s not that funny.
Is this supposed to be funny?

This entire thread: clips of Aunty Donna
I love Aunty Donna, I think they are funny and clever but I always found this sketch one of their weakest by far.
[Stay here and make sure ‘e… doesn’t leave.](https://youtu.be/2f5MvVx8RM8)
Love watching this with my morning brown.
My favourite Aunty Donna sketches are the ones that nail really specific niches (usually Australian culture). This one is a great example especially at the start, but also in my list of favourites is:
[Teacher holds back class at lunch](https://youtu.be/TilZBKGR2S0) – the guilt tripping hit a deep and long forgotten nerve in me
[Ball games at lunch](https://youtu.be/Y6nTJD7sRUE) – anyone who played downball/foursquare and didn’t have a teacher join in and wreck everyone never got the full experience
[Subway Crisis](https://youtu.be/zem5bQ4SzMI) – it’s scary how close to an actual PR meeting this is
My favorite is either Bikey Wars or this one, for which no description could prepare you:

I was watching [Cowdoy In The City](https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=cowdoy+in+the+city) and my wife thought it was stupid. I asked her how can she think it isn’t funny and she said because it’s a specific kind of humor that only 14 year old boys understand. At first I was insulted but then after some consideration I was like yeah fair enough Aunty Donna kind of does appeal to the 14 year old boy I used to be
Holy shit I can’t believe somebody greenlit this. This is by far the worst sketch comedy I’ve ever seen.
Girlfriend and I watched the Netflix series and we non-stop quote the show and their youtube vids now. It’s a problem.
I love how Reddit collectively hates SNL because they don’t know when to stop the joke but Aunty Donna is usually the exact same joke just said over and over and over again and Reddit thinks it’s the golden age of comedy.
Reminds me of a thirty year old [Kids in the Hall skit about putting salt in your eyes. ](https://youtu.be/_83MEuLoz9Y)
EVERYTHING’S A DRUM
I feel like the joke is way too obvious or way too deep because I don’t get it at all.
Wow so wacky. He said don’t get in the kiln and they only heard get in the kiln. Zaney.
Haven’t they done well 🙂
This is so dumb.
this is like mega normie reddit humor
Tippa tap tap… tap a tap tap… A Gunshot!

While it’s completely overblown, this is why you should use affirmative commands.
“Stay out of the kiln” is a better instruction than “Don’t get in the kiln”
That was not very funny.
