I just had an INTENSE game of FTL, my first time playing the Lanius cruiser. This is from the end of the combat, 1:56 AM on a work night, where I beat the flagship with 1 hull point and 1% oxygen when it blew up. This is a good game.

Nice! Those right on the edge wins are so satisfying. Almost makes up for all the others! Great job doing it with the Lanius. That is one of the ships/crews that require one of the more complicated/unique strategies to win with. High five.
Fuckin love this game. Fun fact: it was released almost exactly 10 years ago to this day (Sept 14 2012). Shame there won’t be a sequel. The dev’s second game Into the Breach is solid as well but just isn’t as special imo.
If you haven’t played it, Subset’s next game, Into the Breach is an absolute masterpiece. Very different kind of game, but like FTL, provides near endless entertainment.
FTL is amazing.
It’s not as addictive but Into The Breach is also really fun, made by the same developer.
I hope they make an FTL2, it’s my favorite roguelike
