I had an absolute blast playing Goldeneye 007 during my middle/high school years. This game is definitely my favorite game from The N64 Era & is one of my top 5 favorite video games ever. So many memories playing this game

It’s borderline unplayable now.
An absolute classic and its cultural impact cannot be understated. But it did not age well.
some of the best times I had gaming in my life were in my basement with my friends playing this. something about playing in person vs. online was so much more fun.
I really enjoyed even playing the release via the game pass or if you already owned rare replay, I had a blast, sunk so many hours into it just recently honestly.
lol more like the middle child of fps
I can literally feel myself holding the box looking at that picture. Best Christmas ever.
Who else bought x4 N64 controllers because of this game?
K
My friends and I were obsessed with playing with proximity mines. Some of those matches got really absurd.
Weird looking mouth
Golden Eye was one of those games that I didn’t even own but played the crap out of it because everyone else I knew had it.
Also, a indie dev is doing Agent 64 and it’s actually pretty good. You can play demo.
And it’s available now on Xbox gamepass
One of the best multi-player shooters of its’ time
Just a shame I can unsee his weirdly wide mouth anymore.
Don’t shoot me I don’t have a gun!
I haven’t tried yet, but you should be able to play it on the Switch now.
WCW Vs NWO
No screen watching!
Omg the damn mission where you escape on the boat pissed me off as a kid. All my cousins and i would sit there and try to 100% every mission. I love the bank
Amazing video game.
This just got released on the Switch’s 64 app
Edit: after reading here about the Xbox controls, I gotta say, the old controls are very difficult to relearn after the dual thumbstick era. If anyone has ever tried playing 1-player with 2 controllers, please let us know how that went!
I loved that game!
I still can’t not see his fingers on the side of the gun as an extension of his mouth
The only time in my life that I owned 4 controllers at once for one console so me and my friends could sit all night drinking and wrecking havoc playing multiplayer against one another with that quad split screen.
Fun times.
The amount friendships lost, gained, lost again, broken, reignited, then lost, then back 🙂
This game is Top 5 for sure. Too much fun
I was a god at this game in the era of riding bicycles with my friends
This and The World Is Not Enough were the highlight of my nintindo 64. Also using Pokémon snap to play my game boy Pokémon on the TV
Going from 2D to 3D was unlike any other experience I’ve ever had in video games. And if you weren’t/ aren’t old enough to have experienced it I don’t think you can really grasp how mind blowing seeing Mario in 3D for the first time was.
Even going from Dooms sprites to full 3D characters that reacted to where they got shot. It was the fucking future. And it was rad.
SPOILERS:
Guys, I’m stuck on the level that you find out 006 is the bad guy. I’m stuck on the last objective. It’s hard to save the girl. Any hint? (Easiest difficulty)
On the game’s box art, James actually has a really wide mouth. Once you see it there’s no going back. Still a top game for me though.
Wow, such a unique and unheard opinion!
You are 44 years old
It’s on xbox game pass
My N64 was stolen when my house was burgled as a kid we never replaced it, and i never owned this game unfortunately.
My memories are only bad ones, because the girl who had the N64 on our street was 3 years older than me and i hung with the boys that were close to her age. The only time i have ever experienced this game was at her house where she refused to let me join the group.
Fuck you Michelle, we could’ve had fun but you had to be a cunt.
Is it worth playing it if you have never played it and have that nostalgia?
Conkers bad fur day is my favorite n64 game but I had fond memories of goldeneye also.
Wow what a interesting and original take on things. If your interested in media from that era you should check out a little known movie called Titanic.
Best game ever. Four player multiplay before a night on the town
I played a bit of Goldeneye but my true love was Nightfire for the original Xbox.
Played it recently on Nintendo switch online. I thought it was a fun game. 🙂

Omg this was my favorite game too back then!!
It still holds up; I began to love it as soon as I discovered you can configure the control scheme to play like Turok. Fun missions, different difficulties encouraging replay value, and a multiplayer mode that has no right to be as good as it is. Definitely one of the best console first-person shooters I’ve played.
