What do we do with a drunken sailor
I dreamed a dreaaaam the other niiiiight
No sound ?? Oh come: that’s torture
I would skip through until Johnny leave her or Roll and go played, the rest are kinda grating.
*”Now you’re ready to sail for the Horn…”*
OHHHHH DO ME JONNY BOKER
Or whatever the fuck they were saying
Black Flag >>>
I think a testament to a good game is that you would rather spend time travelling over teleporting. The Spiderman and Batman games are good examples of this too.
You can fast travel?
Ooh, where am I to go me Johnnie’s, oh were am into go
Bro what’s with all the Black Flag posts? Is Ubisoft doing some marketing here?
Those shanties were magic. Felt so superior when the internet discovered the sea shanty concept, what was it, last year? The wellerman phenomenon.
Come you young sailors and listen to me,
I’ll sing you a song of the fish in the sea
Now we are ready to sail for the horn
HAVE YEH EVER SEEN A WIIILD GOOSE SAILIN OE’R THE OooOOCEANNNN
Help me bob i am bully in the alley ..
Water physics against your ship in valhalla was much worse compared to odyssey & black flag. Like the ship didnt have wieght
#Now you’re ready to sail for the Horn Weigh hey, roll and go!
Wait, this game had fast travel?
The game was really fun to play
One of the few truely worthwhile collection activities in video games
My favorite was sally
THERE IS FAST TRAVEL IN AC4??
Whiskey, Johnny!
Well, time for another playthrough
*”Ohhh heave ‘em up and away we’ll go…”*
It had a fast travel option!!???!!
This was the only game where I never looked for any such options.
Safe and sound at home again, let the waters roar, Jack.
Safe and sound at home again, let the waters roar, Jack.
Long we’ve tossed on the rolling main, now we’re safe ashore, Jack.
Don’t forget yer old shipmate, faldee raldee raldee raldee rye-eye-doe!
Come all you young Sailor-men, listen to me, let me sing you a song of a fish in the see…
I had the soundtrack on cd, it was magical
There’s fast travel?
And it’s windy weather, boys, stormy weather, boys
When the wind blows, we’re all together, boys
Same with AC Valhalla during river exploration. Those old norse songs are gold.
I have favorite shanties.
Leave her johnnnyyyy leavee heeerrrrr
Goodbye, fare thee well, goodbye, fare thee well
Fast travel makes good games worse, ruining all the immersion. Fast travel is completely unnescessary in a good game, it only makes bad games slighly better by being a band-aid to the larger issue of boring travel. Fast travel can be interesting if it’s a method of transportation that exists in universe instead of plain teleport from anywhere to anywhere else. I recommend [this video](https://youtu.be/yPRTQ2ELg9I) that discusses one of the few examples of fast travel done right.
