Somebody who doesn’t know much about gorillas or DNA wrote this script. They googled a little bit and puked out stats that sounded cool.

Of course they took the Andrew Tate approach of “duuuh it’s testosterone, and alpha-ness and posturing! Gorillas beat their chest so they get yoked” lol so dumb!!

Gorillas are mostly grazers, the protein percentage of their diet is dramatically lower than your roided out human, and I’d wager that the amount of testosterone those guys intake brings them close to what a gorilla functions on.

The question isn’t “why are gorillas so big?” It’s “why are humans so small?”

Have you seen how muscular kangaroos get? When have you seen a kangaroo do bicep curls to max out hypertrophy?

The truth is that humans produce myostatins, proteins which inhibit muscle growth. One popular explanation for this is that humans have likely evolved to be endurance hunters. There’s certainly a long history of humans running prey into exhausted states, the degree to which this has impacted human evolution is debatable, but it’s an understandable and believable hypothesis with evidence. After all, it wouldn’t make sense to be hauling around an extra 200 kg of muscle while hunting in the open planes right?

DNA codes for proteins and RNA that carry out the vast majority of functions in our cells and bodies. But there’s so much of it! Imagine if you changed 2% of the encyclopedia of Britannica? You could basically wipe out most if not all of scientific physics! Of course that would change things dramatically!
