Incredible to what lengths these companies will do go make an extra buck.
I can’t speak for the rest of the video, but the part about ECP brakes was pretty badly researched. For one, the NTSB chair also said on CNN that “[ECP brakes would not have prevented the derailment. The wheel bearing failed on car number 23. Even with ECP brakes, the derailment would have occurred](https://transcripts.cnn.com/show/cg/date/2023-02-23/segment/02)”. She also said that the Obama era law repealed by trump [wouldn’t have applied to the train in question](https://twitter.com/JenniferHomendy/status/1626379361027858432). Finally, the law came with a review requirement (to be done by the national academy of science) to check whether the regulation would actually make trains safer. [The NAS did a study, and weren’t able to confirm that](https://www.hklaw.com/en/insights/publications/2017/12/department-of-transportation-repeals-controversial), so the regulations didn’t come into force.
And watch as the government does nothing to help and nothing to punish
