It is terraria
Might want to check out Noita too, pretty cool game
Terraria
Built a 3k computer. Still can’t play minecraft with the best shaders.
I have a 3700X, 32 GB of 3600 MHz RAM, and a ASUS ROG STRIX 3060 Ti on an STRIX x570-e mobo. Just played Bionic commando on an emulator, and before that I was playing Zelda ALttP.
I still play a lot of older games from gog and stuff on my rig and as powerful as it is they frequently have issues because they’re usually run through something like dosbox, or an emulator and no amount of power can account for the hiccups.
Minecraft Two Dimensional Edition
Terraria
Name of bottom games, Please.
Does Isaac count as 2D?
I find myself playing a lot of Source-based games and Minecraft, on my 5900x/32gb/3060 Ti machine. Good games are timeless.
My 2060 died while playing vanilla terraria lmao
I’ve spent my morning playing Playstation 1 emulators on mine.
Me: Built a $3,000 computer. Plays mostly on consoles.
Laughs in Noita
Just wait until you build a $1500 computer then buy a $400 steam deck and never touch it again
How dare you insult Terraria’s lagging capabilities! I’ll have you know it can get some very laggy mods and that will fucking murder a laptop.
Yeah I bought a decent gaming rig and immediately installed sonic mania
good old VVVVVV
Spyro on my 3080 ti surely isn’t wasted. Gotta turn down the frames to 30 for a level though.
that feel but Rimworld
NGL…
A $1500 build sounds very reasonable for playing 2d sidescrollers.
Seriously. I bought a Steamdeck, been playing Vampire Survivors, Brotato, and emulators.
Is $1500 supposed to be a good computer? 🤔
Holy shit someone actually plays Rouge legacy oh and also terraria
My 3080 pretty much only see vampire survivors these days
So you didn’t buy a video card.
If I play Tom Raider (1996) the fans don’t ramp up, perfect use for a 3080.
Yea looks like terraria. Such a beastly game but can be really frustrating
Or in my case “bought a 4090 rtx to play vampire survivor and metro exodus”
Buys $1 million dollar home, Spends 99% of their time in 1 room.
Meme istoo old, 1.5k is not enugh now to build powerful pc
playing 2D or low specs games to not getting our GPUs fried sooner since always
My build cost me $4500CAD and I play side scrollers, Fall Guys and Rocket League.
I tell my partner it’s for AutoCAD though.
This meme give the same feel that the use of my 64gb of RAM to play Brotato 😀
Terraria, one of the best games of all time. Sandbox adventure game. I believe it’s around the 15th best selling game of all time, been around for just a bit less than minecraft has.
Terraria
True, but now you’re prepared for anything.
I know op asked a question but about the meme – my laptop cant handle Starbound too well of all things, even tho I can run MGSV and Warframe on relatively stable fps
Who does that?
In my defense I *did* leave Terraria and my umpteenth foray into Heroes III to play Cyberpunk. I did!
Of course. That’s all you can play on a $1500 computer these days.
You build a good PC so you can play ANY game you want. So play whatever the fuck you want. It’s your PC, no one has any right to tell you what to play and what not to play. Just because you have a good PC doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play games that don’t require much power. That beats the whole purpose of building a PC in the first place and it’s stupid.
Besides, some 2D scrollers actually need a good PC, like Noita. Not to mention 2D side scrollers are one of the best type of games out there. Such as Hollow Knight. So don’t be ashamed, be happy.
How else am I supposed to play my pixelated game in 8k at 240 fps?
