I had a (great) aunt Florence and Erna, but my grandmother was Louise. Also had (great) uncle Doc (Rudolph), uncle Paul, and by marriage, Uncle Sid. The paternal side of my family is German. Immigrated to Texas in the 1840’s.

I still find it amazing that my grandmother was born in a log cabin 3 days wagon ride to San Antonio, and lived long enough to watch the 1st man walk on the moon.
